Design Matrix Apparel Buying House

End-to-end sourcing, handled.

Six disciplines under one roof, so a single point of contact carries your order from first enquiry to delivered carton.

What We Do

Every stage, one accountable desk.

You can take the whole package or only the parts you need — the reporting standard is the same either way.

Sourcing & Procurement

Matched factories, fabric mills and trims — vetted for capacity, compliance and price before we quote.

Merchandising

Costing, order follow-up and critical-path management, with weekly status reporting you can act on.

Quality Assurance

Inline, mid-line and final AQL inspection with photo-logged reports signed off at every gate.

Production Management

Capacity booking, raw-material follow-up and floor supervision to keep the line on schedule.

Sampling & Development

Tech packs, fit sessions and costed samples inside a two-week loop, from proto to shipment sample.

Logistics & Shipping

Consolidation, documentation and freight booking — tracked door to door, to your DC.

How We Engage

Three ways to work with us.

Full Buying House

We own the order end to end — sourcing, costing, development, QA and shipment. You approve; we execute and report weekly.

Quality Assurance Only

You already have your factories. We put inspectors on the floor and give you an independent, photo-logged AQL report at every gate.

Sourcing Agent

Factory identification, audit and price negotiation only — handed over to your own merchandising team once bulk is booked.

Deliverables

What lands in your inbox.

  • Open costing sheet with fabric, trim, CM and freight broken out
  • Critical path with named owners and hard approval dates
  • Weekly production status with photographs from the floor
  • Inline and final AQL inspection reports, signed
  • Compliance certificates and audit dates for every unit used
  • Shipment documents and tracking through to your warehouse

Common Questions

Before you enquire.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Typically 500 pieces per colour for knits and 300 for wovens, though it depends on the mill. Tell us the fabric and we will confirm the real floor before you plan the range.

How is your fee structured?

A commission on FOB value, agreed in writing before the first order. Open costing means you always see the factory price alongside our margin.

Can you work with our existing factories?

Yes — that is our QA-only model. We audit the unit first and will tell you honestly if we think it cannot hold your quality standard.

How quickly can we get a sample?

Proto samples usually ship within 10–14 days of an approved tech pack, subject to fabric availability.
